Neurotraining & Performance Rehab in Kelowna
Train your brain, not just your muscles. Neurotraining at Move RX blends cutting-edge neuroscience with rehab and strength training to help you move better, feel safer in your body, and perform at a higher level — without living in fear of getting hurt.
What is Neurotraining?
Neurotraining looks at your nervous system first — not just your muscles and joints.
Instead of chasing symptoms, we assess and train the systems your brain uses to keep you safe:
How you see (eye movements, visual focus, tracking)
How you balance and orient yourself in space (vestibular system in your inner ear)
How you sense your body in space (proprioception)
How you feel internal signals like tension, breath, heartbeat, and stress (interoception)
When these systems are underperforming or overwhelmed, your brain prioritizes survival over performance — it limits mobility, increases muscle tension, or creates pain to keep you safe. Neurotraining helps your brain feel safer, so it can allow better movement, less pain, and stronger performance.
What We Work On: Every brain is different
Common Neurotraining goals include:
Mobility that actually sticks – especially hips, shoulders, and spine
Strength expression – accessing the power you already have
Balance and coordination – feeling steady, not “wobbly” or off
Posture options, not posture rules – more movement strategies instead of one “perfect” position
Body awareness & control – feeling in control of your movement instead of bracing and guessing
Stress & tension management – using breath, interoception, and nervous system drills to down-regulate chronic tension
Who is Neurotraining For?
Neurotraining is a great fit if you’re:
A lifter or CrossFitter who keeps hitting the same pain wall or mobility restriction
An athlete or active adult who feels “blocked” — you can’t access positions, power, or coordination you know you should have
Dealing with recurring aches or injuries that haven’t fully resolved with traditional rehab
Struggling with balance, coordination, or body awareness — especially under fatigue or stress
Feeling hyper-aware of every sensation in your body or, on the flip side, totally disconnected from it (never sure what your body is doing until something hurts)
This service can be used on its own or integrated with your chiropractic/rehab and STRONG Program.

Neurotraining FAQ
-
No. If you have a brain and you move, you qualify. We work with everyone from competitive athletes to everyday active adults who want to feel more stable, strong, and in control.
-
Yes. Many Neurotraining assessments and drills can be done online. It is often part of our STRONG program. We’ll let you know if in-person sessions are recommended based on your case.
-
Some people feel changes after 1–3 sessions; others benefit from a longer block integrated into a 6–12 week rehab or STRONG program. We’ll outline a plan after your initial assessment.
-
We don’t treat mental health conditions, but we do use breathwork, interoception, and nervous system drills that can support regulation, resilience, and body awareness. This is always done within a movement and performance context
-
Neurotraining improves how your brain interprets information from your eyes, inner ear, and body — so you move better, feel stronger, and unlock mobility without stretching forever or grinding through pain.
Here’s the process in a simple, client-friendly way:
1. Assess Your Nervous System
We quickly test how your brain is processing:
Vision
Balance & vestibular function
Joint position & proprioception
Breathing + interoception
Strength & mobility patterns
This shows exactly which “neural bottlenecks” are limiting your mobility, causing pain, or holding back performance.
2. Train the Weak Links
Based on your assessment, we prescribe simple, targeted drills (usually 1–3 minutes each) to improve:
Eye control
Head/neck movement + vestibular integration
Joint stability
Coordination and timing
Pain and mobility responses
These are fast, specific inputs that instantly change how your body moves and feels.
3. Integrate Into Strength or Rehab
Once your nervous system responds, we plug the changes into:
Mobility work
Strength training
Olympic lifting technique
Rehab exercises
Running/conditioning sessions
This locks in the results so the improvements stick.
4. Reassess & Level Up
We retest throughout the session so you can see (and feel) the change:
More range of motion
Less pain
Better strength output
Smoother coordination
Your program evolves as your nervous system adapts.
The Goal
A body that responds, recovers, and performs at a higher level — because your brain and body are finally working together.
